  1. Hey, Ben! Are you creating the title of your book on your own? Or do you have professional help? Just interested as I’ve wondered about my own and few others. How much does a title effect a book purchase?

Well, now I’ve really got myself worried.

    Regards,

    • Hi SL,

The title is critical – it’s your first foot forward, the first time your reader meets you. It’s got to reflect the theme/s of the book, be a hook and ideally be a kind of paradox or pun!

That’s a lot to ask from 1-5 words. So important to find one that grabs you, but really hard to do! Ask your beta readers for ideas and feedback, collect every possibility and then choose the one that feels right. That’s all we can do. Good luck!

      Best from, Ben

  2. From the teasing cover, to the South Pacific, to the doggone criminals, this book hooked me. I agree with you about the title being important. If the title or cover doesn’t immediately grab me, I usually wander on to the next book. With ebooks thriving, there are so many books and so little time, I think it is more important than ever to take extra time to do it right. Congrats on the upcoming book.
